This simple origami sunflower is definitely easy, hence the name. It requires two separate sheets of paper and uses simple folds, so the final result is a pretty big origami sunflower. It looks great on poster boards and on the wall.

Begin with a square sheet of origami paper. I am using an 7×7 inches origami paper.

Fold paper in half from left edge to right edge.

Unfold.

Fold in half again, but this time from top edge to the bottom edge.

Fold the top left corner to the center.

Take a flap and fold outwards like so.

Fold out the rest of the flaps.

Turn the figure over.

Now to make the stem. Get a new piece of paper.

Fold the paper in half from left to right.

Grab the right corner and fold it to the center, making sure the right edge meet at the center crease.

Fold the figure in half by folding right to left.

Take a small portion of the bottom and fold it up, aligning the right edges. It should look like the picture.
