How to Make an Easy Origami Tulip

This simple tulip origami requires two pieces of paper. One for the stem and one for the flower itself. It’s simple and very easy to make. After folding this one, you can try another origami tulip that is a little more difficult to make, but looks more realistic.

Begin with a square sheet of origami paper. I am using an 7×7 inches origami paper.

If you only have regular paper, follow these instructions on how to make a square origami paper.

Rotate it like a diamond.

Fold the paper in half by folding the bottom corner to the top corner.

Fold in half again by folding the left corner to the right corner.

Unfold it.

Take the right corner and make an angled fold diagonally upwards like you see in the picture.

Take the left corner and wrap the flap around the rest of the figure like you see in the picture.

Now take out a new sheet of paper. We’re going to make the stem.

Fold the paper in half from left to right.

Grab the right corner and fold it to the center, making sure the right edge meet at the center crease.

Fold the figure in half by folding right to the left.

Take a small portion of the bottom and fold it up, aligning the right edges. It should look like the picture.
