Origami Bird Base Instructions

The origami bird base is a starting point for the crane and other bird models. It begins with an origami preliminary base that we'll go over on the first page. If you already know how to fold the preliminary base, you may skip to Step 8 on the second page.

	Step 1: With a square sheet of origami paper, fold the left half to the right, then unfold. if you only have regular 8.5x11 paper, follow these instructions to make a square sheet
	Step 2: Now fold the top half down.
	Step 3: Fold the top right corner down.
	Step 4: Turn the paper over horizontally.
	Step 5: Again, fold the top right corner down.
	Step 6: Open the bottom of the triangle by lifting up the center creasing and keep opening until it collapses into a square.
	Step 7: Rotate the square so that it becomes a diamond.
