It’s the little things we do that can bring a smile to someone we love and writing a simple note on an origami heart card that you made will do the trick.

Tape it on the mirror, place it on the car’s dashboard, or wherever they’re sure to see your message, and their day will start out sunny.

This origami heart card is very easy to fold. The detailed step by step pictures and instructions will make sure you’re able to fold one in little time.

Making this with plain paper is fine, but origami paper with different colors on each side is recommended to make your card extra sweet.

Step 1

Start with a square piece of origami paper. I am using an 7×7 inches origami paper.

If you only have regular paper, follow these instructions on how to make a square origami paper.

Fold the paper in half.

Unfold. Cut the paper in half.

We just need one half.

If you are using two color sided origami paper then face the ligher side upwards.

With one half, fold that in half vetically.

Unfold.

Now fold in half left to right, then unfold.

With the top half, fold 1/3rd of it down.

With that one third, fold in half.

Fold the top right corner to the center crease.

Fold the triangle in half (from the tip to triangle base).

Unfold.

Now fold it backwards.

Here’s the hardest part, which is still easy. Open the left flap.

Now squash it as shown.

Repeat the same step on right side.

Fold in the top right flap diagonally as shown.

Fold in the left flap diagonally too.

Fold the right bottom corner as shown.

Fold the bottom up to the top and tuck it in the “pocket”.
