How to Make an Origami Pelican

The origami pelican is easy to make and fun to fold. The final piece should be able to sit up thanks to the wings on the side to hold it steady.

Usually, you would fold this with the whiter side up first so the origami pelican will be more colorful from head to wing, but I decided to be a little adventurous and rebellious by being realistic. See, the real pelicans are white with dark colors at the tip of the wings and sometimes at their rear end. However, I think going the other way would have made it look better.
